We already previewed one picture from the limited edition of Flair (December 2005) and now that the issue is in stores, let's bring
out the entire thing. My thanks to Maya for the scans. As you can see, Mariacarla is on the cover of the magazine and also on the
accompanying "Haute Couture" editorial. An alternate version of the cover is enclosed as well. All photos by Alix Malka. Also, I have added
two catwalk pics below as a bonus. The shows are Valentino spring 2005 and Alessandro Dell'Acqua fall 2005. The source is
Gente mag no.48 2005, as indicated there.

A couple of backstage pics from the Chanel and Hussein Chalayan shows, Paris spring 2006 fashion week.

This is the cover of Vogue Paris November 2005, photographed by Mario Testino. I'm still looking for the editorial from this issue,
"Paparazzi", which is a work of photographer Patrick Demarchelier. Help!

December 1, 2005
I've finished working on the Spring-Summer 2006 fashion weeks section. Just take a look at these pages and you'll find the onstage
and offstage photos from those Milan and Paris shows.
A couple of mystery pics. I found them on the web just recently by accident. The origin of the black and white picture still remains unknown
to me, but I believe the color picture is another image from the unreleased photo session with photographer Michelle Civelli. Although some
of the images were eventually released on Max Italia May 2003, I have no idea whether this one was also included on that magazine or on some
other Italian mags instead. Those images are simply sensational, and so is this image. This is what I call perfection! I even have to
question myself once again, is there really any other model who can come close to Mariacarla? I don't think so. Sorry folks, but I've got to
tell the truth. This picture will let you know about that.

Breaking news! Mariacarla is now a blonde. Okay, I know that's not really new anymore, cos in fact she already had this look since
early this month. At least on November 1st, at a cocktail party for YSL designer Stefano Pilati, at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, Mariacarla
publicly made a debut of her freshly blond hair. Click here
to read Style.com's coverage on the party, and to see a picture of Mariacarla and Stefano, which is also included on a new page that I am
going to explain shortly after this. To be honest, I was undecided when I first saw that picture, but when I received this collage pic from
a friend of mine, I immediately changed my opinion. It turned out that Mariacarla has gone full blonde this time, and she seriously looks
incredible! It's unfortunate for us that she didn't carry this new look yet during the last fashion weeks. I for one can't wait to see this
blonde version of Mariacarla on editorials, campaigns or perhaps a calendar (oops, I almost spilled out a top secret!).
Despite what I stated on my comeback update, I have started to compile the photos from the spring 2006 fashion weeks. A couple of new pages
are available for viewing now, with more to follow soon. The first page contains photos from the Paris shows [plus a photo from the
aforementioned party in New York] meanwhile the second page contains photos from the Milan shows. Those photos are all courtesy of
Style.com. Also worth-reprinting are three comments taken from the wrap-up.
- Mariacarla Boscono on Alexander McQueen: "It looks like a kind of Greco-Roman warrior—in a sexy way. It's very gladiator, Troy. Sexy, sexy, sexy."
- Mariacarla Boscono on Givenchy: "I've known Riccardo for a really long time. This show was him, but a new him. I'm really proud. I was really emotional—not just because he's a very good friend of mine, I think everybody was emotional. The show was very sleek, modern, futuristic. It looks like we just came out from the moon."
- Mariacarla Boscono on Hussein Chalayan: "Chalayan always has an artiste's touch. But this season was kind of surprising, because he made it sexy mama, which is very new."
The November 2005 issue of Vogue Paris is out now. It features Mariacarla on the cover [shot by Mario Testino], on an editorial [shot
by Patrick Demarchelier] and also on some other pics as well. Go to the message board
for some previews. If you could help me with the better scans of these, please drop me an email. Thank you.

Mariacarla in the new catalogue of Americana Manhasset shopping center. These scans were originally posted to Bellazon's
Mariacarla Boscono forum, scanned by impel69. Check it out!
Here are some pics that I just received from Maya. The first picture, which is found inside the November 2005 issue of Vogue Italia,
originally comes from "Blood, Sweat and Tears", a new book by photographer Bruce Weber. It's indeed an outtake from "Republican Party", an
editorial shot by Weber for the July 2002 issue of W. The next pic is from Flair December 2005. It's a preview of the special issue
of Flair, which will come out on December 2. And the last pic is from Glamour Italia November 2005. It's just Mariacarla in her own
clothes during the last Milan fashion week.
Mariacarla is the 'Girl of the Moment' on the October 2005 issue of Vogue Australia. Have a look! The other one is only a better scan
of Vanity Fair Italia no.42's Vanity Style section, featuring Mariacarla and Anne Catherine.

I know, I know... I've been gone away for far too long now. I'll keep the reasons for myself, and let's go ahead with something that's
really new, from Vogue Nippon December 2005. A 'thank you' to Takayu for his surprising help on this one. Mariacarla appears on a
7-pages editorial photographed by Jenny Gage and Tom Betterton. This is the first editorial inside the magazine, and it comes with a
tongue-in-cheek title "Give Pants A Chance".
By now most people should be aware of the H&M campaign news, which was released on October 25. Since I am not an expert to explain
this kind of information, it will be better to simply copy and paste the text that I took from CNN:
Italian model Mariacarla Boscono will replace Britain's Kate Moss when Swedish clothing chain Hennes & Mauritz launches a new collection.
H&M dropped Moss last month after British tabloids published photographs of her allegedly using cocaine.
Boscono will appear in TV commercials for a limited collection designed by Stella McCartney which goes on sale in November, the company told The Associated Press.
However, no model will be featured in posters and newspaper ads for the collection, H&M spokesman Liv Asarnoj said.
Instead, the ads -- which were originally intended to feature Moss -- will use a "graphical solution," she told AP, adding that McCartney was involved in selecting Boscono.
A limited women's collection of about 40 items designed by McCartney -- daughter of Beatle Paul McCartney -- will go on sale in 400 stores on November 10.
Last year, H&M released a similar collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld, which sold out in a few hours in many stores worldwide, AP said.
Moving on to the spring-summer 2006 fashion weeks (September-October 2005). I must admit that I didn't even keep an eye on these events
because of my hectic schedule, but according to Runway Mayhem,
Mariacarla appeared on 15 shows in Milan (Alberta Ferretti, Burberry Prorsum, Byblos, D&G, Dolce & Gabbana, Dsquared2, Etro, Fendi,
Gianfranco Ferré, La Perla, Max Mara, Missoni, Moschino, Moschino Cheap & Chic, Roberto Cavalli) and on 15 shows in Paris (Alexander
McQueen, Chanel, Christian Dior, Emanuel Ungaro, Givenchy, Hermès, Hussein Chalayan, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lagerfeld Gallery, Sophia
Kokosalaki, Stella McCartney, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf, Yohji Yamamoto, Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche). STYLE.com
has photos for us to view as usual. Due to time constraints, I could not update my site with photos from those shows. Unfortunately, it
looks like that this will also affect the future events.
Here are some stuffs from Italian mags that Maya scanned for me recently. The first scan comes from late October issue of Vanity Fair
Italia, with Antonio Banderas on the cover. The picture is from the Cannes film festival, meanwhile the text is all about Mariacarla's
deal with H&M (Kate who??
\n';
document.write(barra);
}
}
changePage();
?). Funnily enough it says that Mariacarla is 23 years old! The second scan is also taken from the same source. The
Vanity Style section features a picture of Mariacarla with Anne-Catherine Lacroix, at the backstage of Chanel haute couture fall 2005 show
in Paris. The last scan is from the supplement of Elle Italia November issue. Mariacarla talks about what she wears when she goes to
a party.

September 20, 2005
OK, we all know what day it is today. It's that time of the year again to wish Happy Birthday, Mariacarla!
Today is Mariacarla's 25th birthday and at the same time the 25th anniversary edition of Vogue Gioiello (September-October 2005,
no.86) is being featured here. What a coincidence. The cover and editorial set, aptly titled "Diva Icon", was photographed by Albert Watson.
It's a long editorial but it doesn't take long to convince me that it's an absolute masterpiece. Breathtaking! So many thanks to my Italian
contributor Maya for her help with these scans.
Mariacarla was nowhere to be seen during the New York spring 2006 ready to wear fashion week, which ended last week on September 16. She was
in NY but apparently she decided to skip this event. Last time she was seen on the Rome fall 2005 alta moda fashion week and prior to that,
on the Paris fall 2005 haute couture fashion week. This backstage picture was shot after the Valentino show, which probably was my
favorite of the whole event.

September 6, 2005
Mariacarla is featured inside the new issue of Vanity Fair Italia (September 8, 2005). The two-page article is indeed a reprint of
her Vogue Paris March 2005 featurette, with new text in Italian of course. Thanks to
Weslley for forwarding these Olivia's scans to me.
In Italy, the newest issue of Vogue Gioiello has just come out. The September-October 2005 issue, no.86, is also the 25th anniversary
edition. Mariacarla is on the cover, which is called "Celebration" by Albert Watson. There are more photos of her inside the magazine. So
far I have only seen the cover, and I can't even find anything related to the anniversary issue at www.voguegioiello.net.
Please e-mail me if you would like to help me with the scans of the complete thing.
Speaking of celebration, my Mariacarla site had turned four years old on September 2. I had a plan to do a write up regarding some serious
problems, but I haven't got time to do that yet. It's a bad, bad news, really.

Looking back on the Paris fall 2005 haute couture fashion week. Please click on the first image above (top left) to view a new page that
I've just made for this early July event. There are runway photos from the Armani Privé, Chanel, Givenchy and
Valentino shows inside. The Jean Paul Gaultier and Elie Saab shows are somewhat missing from the page, but we've got
some backstage photos from those two shows here. Five from the former, fifteen from the latter.

Mariacarla in the Givenchy fall 2005 advertising campaign, photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. These are taken
from Numéro #66 (September 2005). Scans by Olivia, with thanks to Weslley too.
These pages are coming from the new issues of some Italian mags, supplied by Maya as usual. The first four are taken from the September
issue of Elle. This special backstage editorial features Mariacarla at the Alexander McQueen, Burberry Prorsum,
Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino and Missoni fall 2005 shows. Meanwhile the last one, which features
Mariacarla at the Gucci show of the same season, is taken from the last issue of Vanity Fair.
Random pics from various eras. The first row (top) consists of photos from Marni fall 2002 show, D&G fall 2003 show, Helmut
Lang fall 2003 show, Marc by Marc Jacobs spring 2004 show, Gucci spring 2004 show and Missoni fall 2004 show. The
second row (middle) consists of photos from Helmut Lang fall 2004 show, Gucci spring 2005 show, Dolce & Gabbana spring
2004 show, Dsquared2 fall 2004 show, Dolce & Gabbana fall 2004 show, Fendi spring 2005 show and Moschino spring
2005 show. The third row (bottom) consists of photos from Valentino spring 2005 show and Burberry Prorsum fall 2005 show.
