At last I have received the long-awaited approval to announce the follow-up to the news that was reported in the beginning of the year. As
we all should have known, Mariacarla was without an agency in New York for a while after she left DNA in December. Now it's official that
she has finally found a new home in Women Model Management. This makes sense since she is already with Women in Milan.
One of the works that Mariacarla did during the transition can be seen in V magazine, issue 33 (February/March 2005). In this spring
preview issue there is an editorial called "Vant Spring", containing B&W photos of various models shot by Terry Tsiolis. Each model is
representing a particular brand in one picture only. That includes Mariacarla for Dolce & Gabbana. Furthermore, Mariacarla has just been
featured in the new Saks Fifth Avenue campaign. The March 2005 issue of W magazine contains several pages of this
advertisement. Anybody can help me with scans of both aforementioned items from V & W?
Another thing I haven't seen yet is the supposed editorial for Vogue Paris. The February 2005 issue, featuring Gemma Ward on the
cover, is already out but the Mariacarla editorial is not inside this issue. We're still waiting for the forthcoming issue.
Mariacarla didn't participate on the recent N.Y. shows but we have been promised that she shall come to Italy for the Milan fall 2005
fashion week, which will begin this weekend. To keep the runways spirit with us, here is a pair of photos from the Viktor & Rolf
spring 2005 show in Paris.

Here are some more runway photos from the Stella McCartney show and also from the Valentino show. It was indeed the Paris
spring 2005 fashion week. Right now the New York fall 2005 fashion week is nearing its completion and it seems that Mariacarla is taking
another absence, which has to be understood of course.
I don't have anything else to add today, except these versions of the Alessandro Dell'Acqua and Anna Molinari spring 2005
advertisements. The latter was scanned by Maya. Oh, there's one more thing actually. Something from Crash magazine issue 32, as
scanned by Fabrizio. That's Mariacarla in the dark, at the Missoni spring 2005 show backstage.

If you recall, this update is actually a continuation of the Paris spring 2005 update, which was abruptly halted sometimes in November last
year. Hopefully this month I will be able to feature the remaining shows. On the previous update there were already four photos from the
Paco Rabanne show, and for today we have four runways and two backstage photos from the Stella McCartney show kicking off the update.
It's no secret that the Sonia Rykiel show is one of my favorite Mariacarla shows from the Paris spring 2005 fashion week. The reason
is pretty obvious so don't make me say it again. Let's just have a look at these stunning photos, which were shot from a different angle
than the ones we've seen before.
OK, three shows for now. Expect the rest to pop up next week if everything goes as planned. The last thing for today are eight photos from
the Rochas show. I'm sure not everyone is aware that they have been added since Monday, therefore I decided to move them from the
miscellanous page into the Saturday update (it's today!).
Although the Paris spring 2005 fashion week is long gone, this feature still needs to be completed due to a significant change that will be
applied on the forthcoming event coverage. As a matter of fact, the latest event is happening in town right now. If I'm not mistaken, the
New York fall 2005 fashion week has just begun yesterday (or is it today?). Whether Mariacarla will be there or not remains to be seen.

Excuse me for another late update. Most of the stuffs below have already been added to the site since several days ago, but nobody knows
about them as I didn't have time to write down a detailed notification yet by then.
The London-based Select Model Management has a vast collection of Mariacarla pictures on her online portfolio at selectmodel.com.
Click now and you'll be taken into a page containing all the 98 pics that can be found on the website. Yeah, I'm direct-linking to those
images (sorry, I just can't resist). The scans are good enough and we can even find the better scans of some eds/ads that have been
previously featured in my site.
What we see above are the few ones that have never been featured here before: one more pic from the Numéro 46 editorial, three pics
from a Vogue Nippon editorial (do you remember the month of the issue? I assume that this is from early 2004) and one pic from
another Vogue Nippon editorial (it's the last and best picture of "A Pale Sun", from the June 2004 issue - I have the full editorial with me
but it's not yet scanned).
supermodels.nl has just added a Mariacarla Boscono section to the site. There's nothing
here that I haven't seen before, with an exception to the very cool backstage video from Alberta Ferretti show. In this video Mariacarla was
interviewed by Fashion TV for their Milan fashion week spring-summer 2005 coverage, September last year. Although it's only about
half a minute long, err, short, the vid is more than enough to crack a smile on my face (and yours too). Go to the videos

Moving on to some Italian mags, with a couple of pics that also came from the same event as above. The first one is a better scan of the
"D.P. Diva Idea" editorial picture (Vogue Italia January 2005), scanned by Tom of the Gynocracy.

site. A picture of Diana and Mariacarla at the backstage of Missoni show, from the "Spy Story" editorial (Elle Italia February 2005).
It's the typical backstage editorial that has been a routine feature on the magazine. As usual, the photographer is Alfonso Smith. There are
more Mariacarla pics here, I'll try to get them later.
Next is the English translation of the Vanity Fair Italia article. Thanks to Maya for helping me out again on this one. The final
result will surely raise your eyebrows (and mine too) somehow but at least now the translation is available for you to read. Click the image

One more big spring 2005 campaign for Mariacarla! It's about time for her to star the Anna Molinari campaign, and to make sure that
you hear and see it here first, I have 5 versions of that new advertisement plus a couple of the Alessandro Dell'Acqua ads for you
now. All of the pics above, including the Antonio Berardi backstage, can be found inside the January 2005 issue of Vogue Italia
(thanks Maya).

at the Viktor & Rolf spring-summer 2003 show in Paris (October 5, 2002). The filesize is 23.72 MB and the duration is 2:32. Quick Time
Player is required for viewing. The dancing models in the film are: Erin O'Connor, Frankie Rayder, Karen Elson, Hannelore Knuts, Jamie

An old Django Reinhardt tune "Brasil" is being played along the movie, hence the name. This is actually part two of the "Strike Me Pink"
presentation, which was produced for Viktor & Rolf. The companion movie is also available at Greg Kadel Studios
but it's not something worth watching because there is only one model in it (the awful Jamie Bochert). You better watch the other movies

Today we'll let Mariacarla take us on “the Magical Tour for fun thru a camera especially made for Neiman Marcus by Bruce Weber”.
This is one magical editorial for sure, where Mariacarla is looking so damn cute and having whole lotta fun in each and every picture. It's
also reminiscent of Weber's previous works with Mariacarla (Pirelli Calendar and Vogue US), the difference is that she's the only star here.
Too bad there are many male models ruining what could've been a perfect editorial.
My thanks to Desiree for providing the original scans of this editorial. This is actually just one of several Mariacarla editorials that
can be found on various Neiman Marcus spring-summer 2004 catalogs. I have noticed at least two other editorials in two different
catalogs. One of them, from the Neiman Marcus by mail catalogue called "Edits", will be scanned by me later.

Are you skeptical if Mariacarla would do any major campaign in spring-summer 2005? This should prove you wrong then. Early in the new year
we have seen the sign, and it's a good sign indeed. After her breathtaking appearance on the fragrance advertisement last year, now it's
Mariacarla's turn to step in for the whole advertising campaign of the renowned Italian brand Alessandro Dell'Acqua.

there. According to the credits, the photographer is Horst Diekgerdes and the location is a winter garden in a château outside Paris. Please

own collection during the Milan spring 2005 fashion week, with a little help from his friends. Mariacarla even did the casting for this show
(as well as doing the show itself, of course).

We are back with the regular update now. Firstly we have a couple of scans from the seventh issue of Fashion Trend magazine, thanks
to Fabri. Both the cover and the close-up are coming
from the Viktor & Rolf spring-summer 2005 show in Paris. So, can you spot which one is Mariacarla?
If you look at the previous update then you will immediately notice that the Magical Tour picture is gone now. Don't worry, it'll be back
again soon along with the other 15 pages from this editorial! I've just received the remaining scans from Desiree, plus some other
spring-summer 2004 bonuses too: an Alberta Ferretti advertisement (it's two pages, but not joined) and a pre-show pic from Zac
Posen.

As I promised, this is the time for the latest news on Mariacarla! My special thanks to the insider who kindly shared the information with
me. First of all, I can now safely confirm that Mariacarla has indeed parted ways with DNA Model Management since early December 2004. It
was her own decision to leave DNA and at the moment she is yet to choose which agency will be her representative in New York. The USA entry
has been removed from the contact page and will be placed there again when I receive an info regarding the new
agency.
Furthermore, we also have a very good news that I strongly believe has never been mentioned elsewhere. It's quite a surprising progress, I
must say. After taking a break from March to September (back in Italia, mostly) Mariacarla has kept herself busy again and apparently there
is also a brand new activity on her schedule in addition to modeling. She has been accepted at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute
in New York, where she will start the stage this January (click here
or here to visit the official website). Thankfully, Mariacarla will not
disappear from the fashion scene as there are still more great things to come. For now we can expect to see her debut editorial in Vogue
Paris on February. As always, we wish Mariacarla all the best on her career.
2004 has proven to be a tough year for me and my Mariacarla site. The website was more or less dead during the first few months of the year,
before it eventually went back to life again. However things were never be the same as it became even harder to run the site after that. But
I refused to surrender and as you can see right now, I can make it until the end of 2004! Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone,
including all the visitors, who had helped the Mariacarla site in one way or another. I especially want to thank a dear friend of mine,
another Mariacarla fan from my country, for her big support all this time. Hi Michelle! :)
We don't know what the future holds but one can hope for a brighter year in 2005. I am really looking forward to continue working on the
site, as I have plenty of Mariacarla editorials, advertisements, etc waiting to be scanned. On the other hand, I felt that it has become
urgent to move the site into a .com domain again after witnessing how terrible this site is nowadays: the annoying banner and pop-up ads,
the slow access, not to mention that the site has always been in danger of being deleted by the webspace provider without any prior
notification. At this point it is still uncertain whether this plan is realizable this year or not. We'll wait and see.

For the first time in the history of my Mariacarla site I can make an update on time with my birthday :) Nothing special today, though. Many
of the campaign pics below have been previously featured as magazine-sourced scans, except to some of them. Due to the unavailability I
decided to use the small pics that I took from the official sites of these brands. I know that you might be unsatisfied with the quality but
I had to do this for the sake of completeness. Anyway, stay tuned for the first update of 2005, there'll be an exclusive news as well as
other important announcements. Happy new year to everyone, and happy birthday to... well, enough of the shameless plug.

Moschino time! Yup, the Moschino shows have always been fun fun fun and we'll just let ourselves have a taste on some of them today.
These are some of the funniest shows that Mariacarla had ever been in, me thinks. First up are 16 photos from Moschino spring 2004. The
ending of the show was a bit of riot, thanks to Mariacarla and Stam of course :) Then there are 11 photos from Moschino Cheap & Chic spring
2004, which was one of the two shows featured as a video
late last month. Now you can see Mariacarla turns herself from a fairy into an Olive :) Last but not least are 8 photos from another Cheap &
Chic show. 3 backstage photos from this fall 2004 show are also included.
And that brings us to an end to this project. No, we weren't just going through the motions during the past ten days. There certainly is one
reason behind the plan, and it's something that true admirers like us already knew from the beginning. Yeah, that's right, it's all because
Mariacarla IS the best runway model... ever! She's not just one of the best, dammit. Nobody does it better than the queen of the runways
herself when it comes to conquering the catwalk. The others are lame in comparison to her. To state this is not rude, it's a fact!
