Raw scans! Normally I would refuse to feature scans like these but I made an exception in this case (given the fact that I am still unable
to feature this item even after many months since it initially came out). My thanks to Sean for scanning both the cover and article. I
decided to leave the scans as they are, with hardly any editing at all. At least this gives us a good idea about what is inside the April
2004 issue of Nylon magazine. As you can see, the picture that accompanies the article is just as great as the cover outside. These
three pages sure beg to be scanned properly, so if you believe you're capable to do that... then what in the world are you waiting for? Go
on and e-mail me now! :)
I don't know whether these are scans or only digital shot, but it's immediately apparent that quality-wise they aren't up to the usual
standards of my site. Regardless of that, this pair of Mine ads can be considered as rarities so nothing's wrong of featuring them
anyway. This fall 2001 campaign was/is only obtainable in Korea, thus it has become difficult to find these days (unless you're living in
Korea or you know someone who lives there). I got the pics from the Mariacarla Boscono cafe, which was run by some Korean fans. That was
more than a year ago actually. Back then I was hesitant to put them here due to the reason I said earlier. Now there is no reason left to
hold 'em back any longer.
Here are some old scans that I also got from the late cafe.daum.net/mariacarlaboscono.
They're too good to be missed so I hope you can get past that annoying tag. The first one is a cute backstage picture from Chanel
haute couture fall 2003 (photographed by Roxanne Lowit, taken from an undetermined issue of Elle magazine) followed by pics from Narciso
Rodriguez fall 2003 (taken from April 2003 issue of Anan, a Korean magazine), Anna Molinari fall 2003, Christian Dior
haute couture spring 2003, D&G spring 2003 and Lawrence Steele fall 2002.
The origins of these pics are unknown to me but I'm sure they were scanned from Korean mags just like many of the scans that I found on the
cafe. I'll dig out more of those stuffs from my archives later. One of the pictures above looks like a short article on Mariacarla,
meanwhile the last one, Mariacarla riding the mini-tricycle, looks like a picture from the making of the Naf Naf spring 2003
campaign.

also of the same Olympus Fashion Week in New York (February 6-13, 2004).

The Paris spring 2005 update continues. I've just added Hermès and Loewe, the two shows that are previously unavailable in my site. Those
are great ones, but the spotlight for this weekend's update still goes to the Hussein Chalayan show. Mariacarla is showing off something
delicious here... intentional or not, it's yummy for sure!

First of all, I want to make an important announcement regarding the website. Most visitors should aware that a very annoying error keeps on
occuring here at the moment. A 'forbidden' message often appears whenever we try to get the larger version of any particular image in this
site. I don't know how this could happen, but obviously hpg is the one to blame in this
case. hpG SUCKS! Indeed, the best option is to move the site out of hpG, but however, such thing is impossible for me to do due to technical
and financial reasons (especially the latter). Sadly enough, the site has to stay in hpG until who-knows-when :(
The runways and backstage sections are the ones that suffer the most
because of this problem. Based on my observation, the error usually occurs on images that are using the so-called 'javascript window',
which is being used heavily on the aforementioned two sections. A quick decision has been made: all these windows have to be removed! And
that's what I've just done actually. Now my site sure does look crappy after the removal, but on a positive note, the access will be faster
and easier than before. I know this isn't the exact solution to the problem, but I believe this is the best I can do to reduce the effects
caused by the problem. As I've said before, please try again later if the error still happens. Just be a little patient, and you'll get what
you want.
Time for some previews. As you can see on top of this page, I've been requesting these stuffs for quite a while. The good scans are not
available yet, so for now, why don't we have a sneak peek on some of them? The first one is of course the gorgeous Nylon April 2004
cover. According to someone, there is an article on Mariacarla on the inside.
Next are two pics each from the Numéro 46/September 2003 editorial (photographed by Horst Diekgerdes) and also the Vogue
Nippon June 2004 editorial (photographed by Jock Sturges). Looks like the Japanese Vogue editorial contains the photos that previously
appeared on the March 2004 issue of GQ Italia. I found these four pics at DNA model management website, which leads us to the next picture.
MODELS.com Of The Minute is currently previewing the massive Model U.N. editorial, taken from the forthcoming winter issue of V
magazine (November/December). This editorial features the line-ups of top NY agencies, including the IMG
girls in a photo by Mario Sorrenti and the DNA girls in a
photo by Solve Sundsbo. That's Mariacarla in the middle, in a Giles dress.
Here are some backstage photos to round off today's update. One from Gucci spring 2005 show in Milan, two from Yves Saint Laurent
Rive Gauche spring 2005 show in Paris and two from Marc by Marc Jacobs spring 2004 show in New York. That's Elise and Daria in
the last picture, with a black-haired Mariacarla. Bring the color back, please :)

I've featured the rough scans of two editorials from Vogue Italia April 2004 on the birthday
update. Now, let me re-feature one of the eds again as I've just received the much better scans from Gustavo. The other editorial will follow
soon. By the way... in case you didn't notice, two days ago I posted another backstage photo from D&G spring 2005 show, featuring
Mariacarla and her buddy Elise in a somewhat bizarre pose! Where's the picture? Well, it's on the previous update... go find it yourself.

Let's have one more look at the Anna Sui spring 2005 show, from some different angles. We're still exploring the runways on today's
update, but now we will move backwards to the older seasons of the Style section.
Firstly it's Mariacarla with Missy Rayder, Elise Crombez and also Karolina Kurkova at the signing and dinner party for Odile Gilbert's
book "Her Style", in New York on November 4, 2003. Photos: © Patrick McMullan.
We also have a couple of backstage photos from Versus and Givenchy spring 2002 shows, as well as miscellanous pics from the
other shows. Those are detailed on the new.html page. Amongst them there are a couple that I hadn't seen before: As Four spring 2001
show in New York and Tristan Webber spring 2000 show in London (September 24, 1999). It took 5 years for Mariacarla to make another
appearance on a London show, which is the Giles Deacon spring 2005 show (September 20, 2004).
